Can we please suspend Habeas Corpus now . . .
and shoot these armed hooligans on sight?
How many more people get to be robbed, raped, beaten or killed before we decide that the thugs behind the violence need to be dealt with?

I could not agree more. What I am amazed at is not the disintegration of any semblance of social order, but rather the surprise expressed at the rapid disintegration of social order.
Crime, gang problems, and general scumbag pathology is not new to these inner city areas. I don't see why anyone would be surprised that a human tragedy doesn't make decent people out of thugs rather than simply providing another opporutunity for predators to take advantage of the weak.
Shoot a few of them and this gets quelled soon afterwards.
