Okay, so most people on the Left and Right agree -- John Roberts is a brilliant legal mind, possibly the best appellate advocate of his generation, and a person who will make an impact on the court for years to come.

Justice Sandra Day O'Connor's comment?

""He's good in every way, except he's not a woman."

Sigh. She just doesn't get it.

Thank goodness her opinion will no longer matter more than any other citizen's.

What did she MEAN by her statement? Is it not just possible that she was being flip? Even if she wasn't, isn't it her right to suggest that she (her being a chick and all) would prefer the voice of another woman on the court?

What doesn't she "get"?
